Tineke is an actress, director, co-producer, singer, dancer, voice artist, coach and teacher.
Tineke’s passion for the arts began at the age of 9 in a stage production of Annie Get Your Gun. She later studied at Fontys Dance Academy - Musical Theatre in The Netherlands and graduated with a Bachelor of Performing Arts in singing, dancing and acting. She subsequently studied under Paul Dekker at the Meisner Actors’ Studio.
Tineke’s professional career has seen her working as an actress, director and choreographer, in a wide variety of theatre and film productions internationally, including The Netherlands, New Zealand and London.
She is a teacher and coach for both actors and non-actors. This includes managing workshops for Secondary School / University students, and teaching Connection through Improvisational Theatre, Movement and Dance. She is the co-founder of Liminal Space Arts Ltd which focuses on this area of performance. (www.liminalspacearts.com). She has also produced theatre productions for children.
Theatre credits include the lead in Pippi Longstocking, Grushenka in The Brothers Karamazov, nurse Fay McMahon in Loot, two New Zealand Opera productions and the Assassin in Shakespeare's Pericles, Prince of Tyre.
Tineke’s screen debut was as ‘Opelia’ in 3 episodes of the TV series Spartacus, War of the Damned. (Starz Network 2013). Recent performances include Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them (Warner Bros 2016) and Justice League, (DC Entertainment / Warner Bros) which is due for release November 2017, in which she plays an Amazonian Warrior. In this role, many of her specialist skills and screen fighting talents were called into play. Tineke also has a major role in the short film Tooth Fairy, which has won awards including REMI winner at Worldfest and Best Score after being nominated for Best Fantasy/Science Fiction Film, Best Score and Best Sound Design.
At present she is working on a web series Down The Ellie where she plays 3 different roles.
Tineke has had a passion and determination for the arts in all its forms throughout her professional career and a drive for the creative process from script to achievement. She understands the importance of script development and analysis, character, plot and motivation. Her sharp eye for detail is supportive and professional.
